Game 15 (CHAMPIONSHIP): Cypress, California vs. San Diego, California

Brayden C collected three hits in three at bats, as Cypress, CA defeated San Diego, CA 6-4 on Monday at Field A. Brayden doubled in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and doubled in the fifth inning. Despite falling down by five runs in the third inning, San Diego, CA tried to fight back. San Diego, CA closed the gap by scoring on a walk, a walk, and a ground out. A sacrifice bunt by Eli A put San Diego, CA on the board in the top of the first. A double by Brayden gave Cypress, CA the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first. A fielder's choice by Ryan R, and a double by Brayden helped Cypress, CA extend their early lead in the third.


Jaxson F stepped on the hill first for Cypress, CA. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and three runs (two earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking three. Jayce D began the game for San Diego, CA. They allowed five hits and six runs (four earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking one. Jayden G appeared in relief for Cypress, CA.

Game 11: Cypress, California vs. Tijuana, Mexico

Cypress, CA got out to a 6-run lead in the fifth inning and held on for an 8-6 victory over Tijuana, Mexico on Sunday. Tijuana, Mexico closed the gap by scoring on a walk, a single, and a triple. Cypress, CA were the first to get on the board in the first when Ryan R singled, scoring two runs. Cypress, CA added one run in the second. Cypress, CA scored on a passed ball, making the score 3-0. A single by Brayden C extended the Cypress, CA lead to 4-0 in the top of the third inning.


Assael K tripled, which helped Tijuana, Mexico tie the game at six in the bottom of the sixth. In the top of the seventh, Cypress, CA broke up the tie when a wild pitch scored one run. Then a single by Konner Y followed to extend the lead to 8-6.


Konner began the game for Cypress, CA. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and three runs over four and one-third innings, striking out six and walking four. Gutierrez V stepped on the bump first for Tijuana, Mexico. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and three runs (one earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking two. Game 12: Managua, Nicaragua vs. San Diego, California


San Diego, CA scored nine runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat Nicaragua9U 12-2 on Sunday.  #13 induced Gage B to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, an error scored one run, #13 induced Fletcher D to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Wyatt T singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Mateo R tripled, scoring one run, Mackenzie D singled, scoring one run, and one run scored on a balk.


Nicaragua 9U got on the board in the top of the second inning after #5 singled, and #11 grounded out, each scoring one run.Nicaragua 9U committed an error, which helped San Diego, CA tie the game at two in the bottom of the third.


Eli A stepped on the mound first for San Diego, CA. They surrendered four hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking none. #80 opened the game for Nicaragua. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and two runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking none. Game 9: West Raleigh, North Carolina vs. Tijuana, Mexico

Christopher S collected three hits in three at bats, as Tijuana, Mexico defeated West Raleigh, NC 16-1 on Sunday at Field A. Christopher singled in the second inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the third inning. Tijuana, Mexico won thanks in part to 12 runs in the third inning.  Iker Fernando O singled, scoring one run, Gabriel M doubled, scoring one run, Luis R singled, scoring one run, Christopher singled, scoring one run, Mason S induced Miguel N to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Assael K doubled, scoring two runs, Axel R drew a walk, scoring one run, Iker Fernando grounded out, scoring one run, Daniel J singled, scoring one run, Christopher singled, scoring one run, and Miguel singled, scoring one run.


West Raleigh, NC were the first to get on the board in the first when Luke D singled, scoring one run.Tijuana, Mexico jumped into the lead in the bottom of the second when Gutierrez V singled, scoring one run, Christopher singled, scoring one run, and Miguel grounded out, scoring two runs. Gutierrez earned the win for Tijuana, Mexico. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and one run over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Warner W took the loss for West Raleigh, NC. The starting pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering four runs on three hits, striking out one and walking three. Luis tossed one inning of scoreless ball for Tijuana, Mexico in relief. They gave up two hits, striking out one and walking none.

Game 8: San Diego, California vs. West Raleigh, North Carolina

San Diego, CA easily dispatched West Raleigh, NC on Saturday at Field A, 12-2. San Diego, CA got on the board in the top of the first inning after Eli A grounded out, West Raleigh, NC committed an error, and Austin J walked, each scoring one run.


San Diego, CA added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Trevor M grounded out, Mackenzie D singled, West Raleigh, NC committed an error, and Granite T singled, each scoring one run. San Diego, CA scored five runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. Trevor drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Eli singled, scoring two runs, and Gage B grounded out, scoring one run.

Game 7: Cypress, California vs. Managua, Nicaragua

Cypress, CA were triumphant over Managua, Nicaragua 9U 4-1 on Saturday at Field B.


A walk by Ryan R put Cypress, CA on the board in the bottom of the first. Cypress, CA added one run in the second after Lexen R singled.


Jaxson F opened the game for Cypress, CA. They gave up two hits and zero runs over one and one-third innings, striking out three and walking none. Victor A started the game for Managua, Nicaragua 9U. They allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking two. Tanner M, Jayden G, and Konner Y each threw scoreless innings for Cypress, CA in relief.


Lexen and Konner each collected two hits for Cypress, CA. Lexen went 2-for-2 at the plate as they led the team with two runs batted in. Cypress, CA were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Game 6: Palmview, Texas vs. Tanauan, Philippines

Iliam R collected four hits in four at bats, as Palmview, TX defeated Tanauan, Philippines 9U 16-1 on Saturday at Field A. Iliam doubled in the second inning, doubled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning.


Palmview, TX won thanks in part to nine runs in the second inning.  Iliam singled, scoring one run, Andres A singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Adrian F grounded out, scoring one run, Evan R singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, an error scored one run, and Iliam doubled, scoring one run.


Palmview, TX got on the board in the top of the first inning after Palmview, TX scored on a wild pitch, Adrian singled, and Tanauan, Philippines 9U committed an error, each scoring one run. Palmview, TX added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Tanauan, Philippines 9U committed an error, Tyus M was struck by a pitch, and Isaac P doubled, each scoring one run.

Game 5: Vacaville, California vs. Tijuana, Mexico

Simon S collected three hits in four at bats, as Tijuana, Mexico defeated Vacaville, CA 9U 9-0 on Saturday at Field B. Simon singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning. Tijuana, Mexico got on the board in the first inning after Simon singled, scoring two runs. Tijuana, Mexico added one run in the second after Miguel N doubled.


Tijuana, Mexico extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Daniel J, Luis R, and Gabriel M. Matteo C led things off on the mound for Tijuana, Mexico. They allowed zero hits and zero runs over two and one-third innings, striking out four and walking one. John S began the game for Vacaville, CA 9U. They allowed nine hits and six runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. Tadeo P, Gutierrez V, and Simon each came on in relief for Tijuana, Mexico and shut down Vacaville, CA 9U.

Mackenzie D collected three hits in four at bats, as San Diego, CA defeated Palmview, TX 12-1 on Friday at Field B. Mackenzie singled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.


San Diego, CA got on the board in the first inning after an error scored one run. San Diego, CA added one run in the second. Palmview, TX committed an error, making the score 2-0. San Diego, CA added two runs in the third. Cypress, CA easily dispatched Vacaville, CA 9U on Friday at Field A, 11-1.

Cypress, CA jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Jair J lined out, scoring one run, and Brayden C doubled, scoring two runs. Cypress, CA scored five runs on zero hits in the bottom of the second inning. Ryan R drew a walk, scoring one run, Jaxson F drew a walk, scoring one run, and an error scored three runs.


Cypress, CA added two runs in the third. Vacaville, CA 9U committed an error, making the score 10-1. Jayden G stepped on the mound first for Cypress, CA. West Raleigh, NC bested Tanauan, Philippines 9U 6-3 on Friday at Field B.

Tanauan, Philippines 9U opened the scoring in the first after a passed ball scored one run. West Raleigh, NC captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the third when Mason S doubled, scoring one run, and Jonah R singled, scoring two runs. Tanauan, Philippines 9U tied the game up in the top of the fourth thanks to two ground outs. Tanauan, Philippines 9U tied the game at three on a ground out by Mig Russel M. A ground out by Penn T gave West Raleigh, NC the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the fourth.


Carter K started the game for West Raleigh, NC. They gave up two hits and three runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking four. Geb Gadiel C started on the mound for Tanauan, Philippines 9U. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Mason tossed one and two-thirds innings of shutout ball for West Raleigh, NC in relief. They gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking two. Mason set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading West Raleigh, NC with two hits in three at bats. Jonah led West Raleigh, NC with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Geb Gadiel and Jared Elijah M each collected one hit for Tanauan, Philippines 9U. Mig Russel and Jhared Brex A were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Tanauan, Philippines 9U. Nythe Mathew M and Jhared Brex each stole multiple bases for Tanauan, Philippines 9U. Tanauan, Philippines 9U had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Game 1: Tijuana, Mexico vs. Managua, Nicaragua

 

Tijuana, Mexico got on the board in the top of the first inning after Tadeo P singled, and Simon S stole home, each scoring one run. A single by Miguel N extended the Tijuana, Mexico lead to 3-0 in the top of the second inning.

 

Managua, Nicaragua 9U scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Roberto William R drew a walk, scoring one run, Samuel Alexander M drew a walk, scoring one run, and Winston C doubled, scoring three runs. Ulises T singled, which helped Managua, Nicaragua 9U tie the game at six in the bottom of the fifth. Managua, Nicaragua 9U took Friday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over Tijuana, Mexico at Field A. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the sixth when Mateo P singled, scoring one run.

 

Braulio Ricardo S earned the win for Managua, Nicaragua 9U. They gave up zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking none. Luis R took the loss for Tijuana, Mexico. They went one and two-thirds innings, giving up one run on two hits, striking out two and walking two. Ulises led things off on the bump for Managua, Nicaragua 9U. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and three runs over one inning, striking out one and walking three. Assael K opened the game for Tijuana, Mexico. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over two and one-third innings, striking out three and walking two. Mateo threw two innings of zero-run ball for Managua, Nicaragua 9U in relief. They allowed one hit, striking out three and walking one.
